Living For The Now
03:12
|
|||
Filled with a yearning for
A purpose knowing what’s in store.
Overflowing hunger for
A love everlasting,
Finding the truth with in
You bring the light in,
Your love is the sweetest thing that I have ever known.
Dancing queens with smiles to melt your heart.
A laugh, a kiss, a messy work of art
Living for the now.
Where are you always running to?
The busy bees of the family
Tiny but filled with love.

As Time Goes
04:57
|
|||
When we were young
Nothing could go wrong.
Our rosy hued life for two,
Hand in hand through time
Before we let it go,
Lost our way and drew the line.
Held by memories of places we met,
Secrets we kept,
A reverie of innocence.
As time goes the seasons change,
And we must exchange,
Our youth for truth.
Flying through timelines of life,
We must keep young at heart.
Painting pieces of our life’s great work of art.
Gracing this stage with a youthful hope.
Loving life knows many different strains,
Letting go once more,
Start anew each day.

Dancers Serenade
03:24
|
|||
The spring of youth inspires love.
The stories to begin,
Entangled in a whim.
Let the dance begin!
The rhythm drew us close together,
Alas, the beat was not forever.
The push and pull sent through our swaying arms.
The to and fro of love in all its charms.
We play at love then fight to lead.
A passion follows with such greed.
We dance in circles gazing with a fire,
Our hearts conspire,
Filled with desire.
I pull away in jest you see it as a test.
Your pride stands oh, so tall,
But soon that wall will fall.
You glide across the floor,
To claim you’ve closed the door,
But our hearts seek something more.
We dip into a rapture.
I point my toe as you embrace me,
You turn your head and I go crazy!
And so, the game of love is played again.
The on again and off again of love.

Never Will I Worry
05:12
|
|||
Never will I worry, never will I care.
What’s the point of crying if you’re never there?
Just smile and keep pretending, never say a word,
Ignore the warning signs behind the silence.
Hiding from you,
Hiding from me,
Hiding from the truth.
Thought it would last ‘til death do us part.
Promised forever with a toast from the heart.
Buttoned up and brittle, endless masquerade.
We tiptoe ‘round each other,
And the promises we’ve made.
So why are we pretending?
Drawing lines and taking sides,
Our hearts behind a wall.
Hiding from you,
Hiding from me,
Hiding from the truth.
Thought it would last ‘til death do us part.
Promised forever with a toast from the heart.

Love Somehow Will Heal
03:44
|
|||
There you are just beyond the moon.
Space between
Like a lonely star that flickers in the dark.
Saw you dance, laughing with your daughter.
Wrapped around her,
Wishing time stood still to watch her grow.
Nothing we could do,
Only thirty-six,
A mother and a wife,
Now an empty room.
Goin’ home, goin’ home too soon
Behind the curtain,
Humming in an autumn wind
I hear your voice.
Hand to heart,
I hold you deep within.
Words unspoken,
Showed me love is all that matters,
And what remains.
Nothing we could do,
Only thirty-six,
A mother and a wife,
Now an empty room.
Love, love oh somehow will heal.
Love, love, love somehow will heal.

Renewal
05:08
|
|||
Over and over,
The sun begins its journey in the morn.’
Life is born.
Seedling bloom into flowers of spring.
Two soon turns to three,
Birds will sing.
Night turns to light,
Bringing life into the world once again.
Hope runs free,
Sailing now across vast open seas.
Born again each day,
For love cradles life on its wing.

Steel City Eye
06:15
|
|||
Busy streets,
A pocket neighborhood like the hill,
Filled the night with sounds of Crawford Grill.
Lena, Mary Lou, Blakey and Klook
Would fill the place.
Photos by Teenie Harris,
The steel city eye.
Water ways through tangled webs of steel,
Ferris wheels
Heard against the hum of union square.
Phibbs, Schenley, and Frick
In garments green that paint the scene.
Beauty in art left its mark,
The steel city eye.
Waters wide blue, cross the shore.
Three rivers run in a maze of crazy freeways.
Quick! Make a turn that’s it,
Or you miss Fort Pitt!
Like a groove of Hardbop made in steel,
Swingin’ feel,
To Warhol painted pop, and Wilson plays.
Special kind of soul in this town,
Love above all else.
Beauty in art left its mark.
(People of love from the start)
Beauty in art left its mark,
The steel city eye.

Verdant
04:49
|
|||
Winding winds a sweet whisper low,
That make waves in a field of gold.
Not a cloud but a sea of blue,
I’ll be waiting under the oak for you.
Climbing branches, carving secrets,
Stealing kisses.
Names and hearts of another time,
Winter worn flowers of spring gone by
So lay with me on a blanket green,
Cover me in a sea of stars once more,
Our childhood souvenirs.
Verdant green comes to life once more,
Pale pinks in a field of barley
Meadow larks sing from tree to tree.
I’ll be waiting under the oak for you.
Climbing branches, carving secrets,
Stealing kisses.

Lucianita
04:31
|

Te esperé toda mi vida!
Atrapada en un silencio de dolor
Eres la luz, y mi amor
El sueño hermosa.
Eres una flor tan divina, t
Tus ojos tan azules como el mar
Una sonrisa me da la vida,
Y cada dia mas amor.
Fuerte y linda, curiosa niña
Con corazón abierto.
Tan pequeña pero valiente.
La estrella de mi cielo.

Lady Liberty
05:08
|
|||
See her torch in the distance,
A guiding light through the storm.
She is love and acceptance,
A prayer to peace in sculpted form.
Shine her light through the darkness,
A helping hand to hold.
There is beauty in different and a power in love.
Like a branch to a tree, we’re all connected at the root.
Lift our voices together, sing of love and joy our true pursuit.
Building walls and breakin’ bridges,
Drain mother earth of all her riches,
Pass it off as rights of privilege.
Claim poverty’s a state of mind.
We the people are never so blind!
We can no longer stand aside,
For the meek shall inherit the earth,
For we carry the torch of lady liberty.

Step Into Your Essence
04:34
|
|||
I have something to say, I can be no one else but me.
I have something to share, and not something to prove.
I'm tired of being afraid,
An age old condition of waiting on permission,
And feeling like you're not enough.
I am more than net worth, and I am not my things.
I am not my hair, or the fancy clothes that I wear.
I'm tired of trying to be perfect,
An age old condition of waiting on permission,
And feeling like you're not enough.
Step into your essence, for the time to live is now!
There's a courage in your wisdom, and a strength bolder than doubt,
When we step into our essence, for the time to live is now!
There's courage in your wisdom, and a strength bolder than doubt.
I have something to give, I have got so much love in me.
I have something to live for, my spark is now aflame.
For I am light, and you are light, and we are light.
When we step into our essence, for the time to live is now.
There's a courage in your wisdom, and a strength bolder than doubt.
When we step into our essence, for the time to live is now!
